Today, our secondary students gathered for a special chapel to remember September 11, 2001, a day that changed our nation forever.

Mr. Stanfill, Mr. Ridley, Mr. Edmondson, Mrs. Vehrs, Mrs. Holmes, and Mrs. Abraham shared where they were and what they remember from that day. Each story was different, offering our students a glimpse into the fear, uncertainty, and heartbreak so many experienced 25 years ago.

It was also an honor to have Staff Sergeant JT Dabbs share with our students and remind us of the courage and sacrifice we remember on this day.

Life is precious and not promised, which makes our relationship with the Lord the most important thing we can have. Mr. Edmonson’s message was a simple but powerful reminder to live with eternity in mind, to know Christ, follow Him, and be ready for the day when this life is over and we stand in His presence.

September 11 reminds us that life can change in an instant. Today, we are thankful for the opportunity to remember, to reflect, to pray, and to point our students toward the hope we have in Jesus.

This community-wide event is open to high school students and parents and will feature representatives from colleges, universities, trade schools, first responders, and branches of the military.

Come ask questions, gather information, and explore the possibilities for life after high school!

We can’t wait to see where our students go from here! 🎓

Congratulations to our newest National Beta Club members! Beta Club recognizes students who excel academically while also demonstrating character, leadership, and a heart for service.

We’re proud of these students and excited to see how they use their gifts to serve and lead others.

Our middle schoolers made their way to Camp Gideon last Friday for our annual retreat, and what a great day it was! With beautiful weather, plenty of outdoor recreation, and time spent together, our students had a chance to step away from the usual school routine and enjoy some meaningful time of fellowship and fun.

We were also blessed to have Cornerstone alum Brooks Beber (Class of 2024) lead our worship gatherings, while Colby Chester, middle school pastor at First Baptist Woodstock, shared God’s Word with our students.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for our students, leaders, and this special day. We’re grateful for a successful retreat and all that God did through it!

High School Retreat had it all!

Two days of games, worship, campfires, laughter, late-night conversations, and time together at Strong Rock Camp.
But when we asked our students what moment stuck with them most, one answer kept coming up:

🙏 Prayer.

Students prayed over one another, worshiped together, encouraged their friends, and experienced what it means to
Love God and Love Others.

And yes…there was plenty of fun along the way, too!!

What a week! We’re back, Cornerstone!

As we begin a new school year, we’re excited to keep our focus on what matters most: Love God. Love Others.

We’re praying for a year filled with growth, purpose, joy, and countless opportunities to live out those words every day.

¡Hola! Our elementary students are having a blast in our new Spanish elective!

They’re learning the basics, how to say hello, introduce themselves, share their names, and say goodbye, all while getting lots of practice with Maestra Williams!

We love seeing our youngest learners have fun while discovering a new language! 🌎❤️
