Playing more with creativity as an emotional regulation outlet (versus another something on my “should do list”). It’s been good practice to slow down, be messy and play, let the colors and textures tickle my brain etc. plus, it’s been fun to lean into my enjoyment of gift giving. Oh and self-compassion: it’s helped me practice not feeling guilty about leaving the supplies on the table for next time. I promised the fam I would tidy and store it neatly for a meet-in-compromise for them having to work around my pile and that felt good.
