Our four Choctaw County CTC students completed their final rounds, capped off the trip with some well-deserved sightseeing, and represented Mississippi with absolute excellence. In each of their individual events, our students went head-to-head against the top 150 competitors from all across the globe.

Choctaw Co CTC HOSA students' Day #2 in Indianapolis, IN is a wrap! They had fun and competed hard in their medical competitions! They attended the HOSA Expo, meeting and interacting with colleges and medical industry reps from all across the country. To top off the night, they went to watch a WNBA game - Indiana Fever vs Atlanta Dream!!

Choctaw Co CTC HOSA students are in Indianapolis, IN this week competing in various medical competitions (sports medicine, medical assisting, and life support skills) against students from all 50 states and 5 other countries. Day #1 has been a blast for our HOSA students!!

We are proud to announce that Jalik Lawerence has been selected for the 2026โ2027 Secretary of State Student Ambassador Program through the Mississippi Secretary of Stateโs Office!
A special thank you goes to Tonya Johnson, Choctaw County High School Career Coach, whose guidance and support helped Jalik secure his spot in this highly competitive statewide program.
Chosen for this competitive statewide leadership program, Jalik will join outstanding high school seniors from across Mississippi to develop civic knowledge, leadership skills, and a deeper understanding of public service.

CCCTC sincerely appreciates Mississippi Lignite Mining Company for their generous donation in support of our four HOSA students as they prepare to compete at the HOSA International Leadership Conference in Indianapolis this summer.
We are incredibly proud of these students for earning their place at the international level through their success at the state competition. Thanks to the support of community partners, they now have the opportunity to showcase their talents and skills on one of the biggest stages.
