Sands Football 2026 for SANDS HS

Congratulations to Cali Howard and Carlos Plata, they are Sands Big Spring Area Community Foundation Scholarship recipients!

HS Football, Cheer, and Cross Country pictures will be next Thursday Aug. 13th in the activity gym, 9:00.

The school office will be closed on Thursday (today) and Friday this week. It will be open on Monday, August 3rd.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE AT SANDS CISD- Immediate opening



● Janitor

Duties will include but are not limited to the following: heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time, using a vacuum cleaner, using a mop bucket and moping, cleaning restrooms, dusting, taking out trash, picking up trash around the facility, etc. This is an 8 hour per day position, a 196-day calendar that allows for the months of June and July to be off, and with overtime hours that will be required when district is hosting events such as football games, basketball games, district ran academic contests, track meets, etc. Sands CISD is a 5 day a week district.

Pay is $20,000 and the district provides $650 towards TRS health Insurance along with a $150 travel/house stipend due to no school housing being available currently.

Sands Consolidated Independent School District

We have several things parents and students need to know for Tuesday, July 28th. First, at 10:00am-12:00pm we will have 10th grade registration in Mr. Morrow's office. The 9th grade registration meeting which includes their parents will take place at 12:00pm in the cafeteria. At 1:00pm we will have our HS drug testing orientation followed by our JH drug testing at 2:00pm in the Mane Gym foyer. FInally, we will have a parent meeting for all boys and their parents who are playing football at 6:00pm in the Mane Gym. The new year is fast approaching and we look forward to seeing everyone on campus. Have a great day!

Great turnout for Sands Youth Basketball Camp! Coach Rawls and Coach Fowler appreciate the efforts and attitudes of all the campers. It was a fun two days!
