Sands CISD is trying something new for the 2024-2025 school year. We will be providing most all the school supplies for all elementary and secondary students. Students will be expected to have their own backpacks (Pre K & Kindergarten will also need to bring their own "NAP" mat), but pens,pencils,markers,crayons, paper, spirals...etc. will be provided by Sands. Please remember that students in 6th-12th grade should have CLEAR(see through) backpacks. We hope this helps families with the "beginning of school year" expenses. We just wanted our HS and JH students to know that summer workouts have begun. Every Monday through Thursday from
8:00am till 9:30am our athletes can meet at the weight room for weight lifting and conditioning. They are voluntary workouts but for those playing JH and HS sports, summer conditioning is crucial to overall success. Come join the work…and fun…but mainly work. Have a great summer!

● Food Service Employee- Cafeteria
Duties would include but are not limited to the following: washing dishes, heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time, serving the students and staff, cleaning the kitchen, tables, working at a fast pace for extended periods of time, and doing daily food prep.
Salary - $20,000
8-Hour days starting August 7, 2024, and ending May 16, 2025.
District pays $500 towards health insurance.

Good Morning!

I wanted to update the construction process and what will be happening next. May 20th they will start working on first street and this will be blocked off for several months as they replace it and rework the ditches to carry the water when it rains. This will also include the parking lot North of the football field, West of the football field, the front and rear parking lots of the new gym/auditorium and creating a new parking lot South of the football field.
We are anticipating the track work to start shortly after they start on 1st street, and once they start on the track, it will be off limits for most of the summer as they prepare to resurface it and put new light poles up at the football field, move the shot-put ring and rework the discuss ring. The fitness center will be accessible but you will have to park in front of the school and walk over to it once they start in the North parking lot. We know this will be an inconvenience, but will be necessary to make the changes needed. If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks in advance for your patience.
