@hash_food purple fig and purple hair! And yummy food

I think the key to the success of this drawing will be to get the shadows right and keep good contrast even though l need to saturate the color. This is the challenge of red flowers. Do you agree or do you have your own tips on drawing and painting red flowers?

Slowly adding color. When a flower has such intense color, this is a slow process. I like to take my time and enjoy it. My amaryllis is cooperating and staying open! #amaryllis #botanicalillustration #botanicallovers

Ok petals in color first and now working on the flower #amaryllis #botanicalillustration

When it opens you have to stop everything else and just draw it...#amaryllis . Do I add color or leave it alone?

It’s almost open! #amaryllis

#amaryllis is starting to open! What color will it be? #botanicalillustration

Who likes to start their day with local farm fresh chicken eggs?

Sometimes focusing on a petal is all you need to do. #botanicalillustration #botanicalart

Slow going on this tulip....

Just starting this bright pink tulip with curling petals #botanicalillustration #tulips🌷

I am anticipating spring with this new BIG TULIP print. #botanicalprint

Waiting patiently for my #amaryllis to bloom! #botanicalillustration

I am going to organize all of them and then make a plan of what to do with them. I have always sold and framed my favorites, but now I am gathering all of them. I wonder how many I will have in total?

HELP! Cleaning out my studio, trying to organize my drawing archives. Even with a 20 ft. long area of flat files I am running out of space. It is getting harder and harder to find what am I looking for. So my questions for all of you are:
1. Should I start to throw unfinished drawings away, like these teaching demos of which I probably have 200...?
2. How do you organize your botanical art? by plant, by size, by date, by location, by season?
3. If I don't throw away the teaching demos what do I do with them? Does anyone want them? Would you pay real money???
SO MANY QUESTIONS...I can use your help and suggestions!
