Our fifth graders from East End spent three wonderful days exploring, learning, and working together at Hard Bargain Farm this week. They studied the Potomac watershed, the Piscataway people and other early residents, and of course milked Rosie the cow!

During their overnight experience this week, a fifth grader from Elsie Whitlow Stokes Community Freedom Public Charter School lifted a stone in the stream and discovered snail eggs hiding underneath. Nature always has surprises if you take the time to look.
