🇺🇸✈️ FROM TEXAS TO CFI ACADEMY — A YOUNG MAN, A MOTHER'S DREAM, AND A NEW FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR!

Some graduation stories are about more than earning another certificate. They're about hard work, family, opportunity, and building a better future.

Today, we're proud to congratulate Matthew, a 20-year-old aspiring professional pilot from Texas, on successfully completing his FAA Certified Flight Instructor training at CFI Academy!

Matthew passed his CFI Initial End-of-Course evaluation with Kyle, our Assistant Chief Flight Instructor and FAA-approved Part 141 Examining Authority Check Airman.

He worked hard, stayed focused, and earned every bit of this accomplishment.

But there's another part of Matthew's story that makes this graduation especially meaningful.

His mother is a flight attendant and an immigrant from Southeast Asia. She came to America with hopes for a better future and, like so many hardworking parents, wanted her son to have opportunities to succeed.

She encouraged Matthew to pursue aviation, and he took that encouragement seriously.

At just 20 years old, Matthew has now reached a significant milestone in his aviation career, earning the privilege and responsibility of teaching others how to fly.

Think about that for a moment.

While many young people his age are still exploring their career paths, Matthew is already building his future in professional aviation.

And behind that accomplishment is a proud mother who believed in him, encouraged him, and wanted the very best for her son.

That's what makes moments like these so rewarding for us as flight instructors.

At CFI Academy, we don't just see students earning certificates. We see young people building futures, families celebrating milestones, and years of encouragement and sacrifice beginning to pay off.

✈️ 9 MONTHS WAITING FOR A DPE. 3 WEEKS AT CFI ACADEMY. NOW A CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR.

Congratulations to Dima on successfully completing his CFI Initial training and earning his FAA Certified Flight Instructor certificate!

Dima came to CFI Academy after spending nine months waiting for a DPE for his CFI Initial checkride. Nine months passed, and the call never came.

So he decided to try something different.
He came to CFI Academy, enrolled in our FAA Part 141 CFI program with Examining Authority, put his head down, and went to work.

Three weeks later, Dima is a Certified Flight Instructor.

That's a pretty remarkable turnaround.
But the important part of this story isn't simply how quickly he finished.
Dima worked hard for it. Dave and I had the opportunity to work with him during his training, and he came prepared to learn, asked questions, accepted coaching, and did what was necessary to meet the standard.

Examining Authority doesn't make becoming a CFI easier. It makes the certification process more predictable.
Instead of completing training and then wondering when an outside examiner might become available, qualified graduates of our approved Part 141 CFI program can complete the certification process through CFI Academy's FAA-approved Examining Authority.
