📚✨ Exploring World Religions in 7th Grade! ✨📚

Our 7th-grade students are diving into an engaging study of the three major religions that originated in the Middle East. 🌍✝️☪️✡️ Split into six groups, each is tasked with uncovering the most important aspects of Judaism, Christianity, or Islam.

Next week, it’s collaboration time! The two groups studying the same religion will come together to create a final project that showcases their collective understanding. This hands-on approach is helping our students develop research, teamwork, and presentation skills while fostering respect and appreciation for diverse beliefs and cultures.

🌟 A New Way to Ask About School! 🌟

Instead of the usual “How was school today?” try asking your child, “Who did you help today?” You might be amazed at the responses!

One parent shared that their child now begins stories with phrases like:

“I held the door for someone.”
“I helped a friend with math.”
“I asked someone to sit with us at lunch.”
By encouraging this shift, we empower our kids to reflect on their positive actions and foster a culture of kindness and support at school. Let’s celebrate the little moments of helpfulness that make a big difference!

What did your child do to help someone today? Share in the comments!

🌍✨ Happy World Kindness Day, SBS family! ✨🌍

Today, let's join together to celebrate the power of kindness in our lives, our school, and our community. At SBS, kindness is more than just a word—it's woven into the heart of everything we do. From lending a helping hand to a friend to showing gratitude to teachers and staff, our students lead by example every day, spreading positivity and care.

Let's inspire each other to make kindness a habit! Today, take a moment to do something kind: share a compliment, help someone in need, or simply smile. Tag us and let us know how you're celebrating kindness! 💙

Yesterday, our students came together to honor and celebrate Veterans Day in a truly special way!

Our celebration began with heartfelt renditions of "God Bless America" and "America the Beautiful" led by our students. Father Godfrey then led us in prayer and shared his experiences as a chaplain in the U.S. Army Reserve, helping our students learn about the different branches of the military and the importance of service. We’re so grateful for the dedication of Father Godfrey and his willingness to share his military journey with us.

A big thank you to Mrs. Sexton for preparing our beautiful board featuring photos of SBS families who have served—it was a wonderful reminder of the bravery and sacrifice of our loved ones. Today was an incredible opportunity for our students to learn, reflect, and show gratitude for all those who have served our country. Thank you to all veterans for your service! 🙏💙

💙 A Knights Fund Success Story 💙

At Saint Bridget School, we often see firsthand how the Knights Foundation transforms lives. One of our recent success stories involves a family that was facing financial challenges, uncertain if they could continue providing their child with the Catholic education they deeply valued. 🙏

Thanks to the Knights Fund, they received the financial support needed to keep their child enrolled at SBS. Now, that student is thriving—excelling academically, growing in faith, and being nurtured by our supportive community. 🌟

This is what the Knights Fund is all about—making sure financial barriers don't stand in the way of a bright future. Every donation goes directly to families in need, allowing them to experience the gift of Catholic education. 📚❤️

Your generosity today helps secure a better tomorrow for students who might otherwise miss out. Let’s continue to lift each other up and make a difference, one family at a time.

Honoring Our Heroes this Veterans Day

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served in our armed forces. At Saint Bridget School, we are grateful for the sacrifices made by our veterans, which allow us to enjoy the freedoms we hold dear.

Although we have the day off, we encourage our students and families to take a moment to reflect on the importance of this day. Here are a few ways you can show your appreciation:

Write a Thank You Note: Encourage your child to write a note or draw a picture for a veteran they know or for local veteran organizations. A simple message of gratitude can make a big impact!

Learn Together: Explore stories about local veterans or historical figures who have served. Discuss their contributions and the significance of their sacrifices.

Participate in Community Events: Check out local parades or events honoring veterans. Joining as a family can foster a sense of community and respect.

Moments of Silence: Take a moment of silence at 11 AM to honor those who have served and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Thank you to all veterans and active service members for your unwavering dedication and service. We appreciate you today and every day!
