Also as a reminder, please send in any remaining box tops you have! The funds collected from these submissions will support programs next year at Beaver Brook and the new preschool!

The Beaver Brook PTO meeting takes place tonight at 7:00. Agenda items include the 2017/2018 Boosterthon, School Transition Planning, Building Move Logistics, & Enrichment Requests.

The kindergarten send off party is being held Saturday, June 3rd from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the Senior Center. Both parents are welcome to attend with their kindergarten child; however, we ask that siblings be left at home with a sitter. We are looking forward to a fun and exciting event!

The kindergarten send-off celebration will take place on Saturday, June 3 from 3:00-5:00 pm at the Abington Senior Center. Additional details will be sent home with the students.

Square One orders have arrived and were distributed to the classrooms today. You should receive the items over the next few days!

Today the PTO sponsored lunch in honor of teacher appreciation week, the least we could do to show the Center School staff how grateful we are for their hard work all year long! Congratulations to Mrs Carini and Mrs Furness for winning the raffle prizes!

Reminder!!! The elections for both Beaver Brook (grades K-2) and Woodsdale (grades 3-4) PTO boards will be held tonight, May 1 at 7pm, as part of the monthly Beaver Brook PTO meeting. All parents who have children entering Grades K-4 in the fall are invited to attend.

The Chester J. Millett, Jr. Outstanding Teacher Award for 2017 nomination packet is available at the link below. In addition, nomination packets are available on the Abington Public Schools website.

The deadline for submission is April 27, 2017.

The award will be announced May 9, 2017, and presented on August 28, 2017, at the "Back to School" meeting at Abington High School.

The next PTO meeting will take place next Wednesday, April 12th in the Center School cafeteria. We will discuss the transition to new schools, current fundraisers, and upcoming events. We hope to see you there!

Abington School Committee elections are coming up April 29th! There are two openings this year. Wendy Happel and Ellen Killian are running for re-election. We also have a third candidate, Center School PTO Co-chair.....Chris Coyle!

Chris has served as co-chair to the Center School PTO for the past four years and serves as a little league coach for Abington Youth Baseball. Please take a look at his page to get to know him.

To all who have RSVP'd for the Winter Wonderland party -

We will see you tonight at 5:30 PM at the Abington Senior Center on Summer Street. We hope you are ready to have fun with the DJ, selfie station, games, and arts & crafts! We are looking forward to a great night!

The Abington Senior Center has graciously donated their space to the Center School PTO for this event. In return, we are asking that attendees bring donated items. Suggestions include: shampoo, conditioner, razors, shaving cream, hats, gloves, socks. A box will be available at the entrance of the senior center to leave your item(s).

Pizza and water will be available for purchase. There will also be a bake sale with a variety of items available for purchase. All items are $1.00. Cash only please!

Thanks to everyone who donated to their child's class basket, there will be variety of great raffle prizes available. There will also be some exciting miscellaneous prizes for parents too! Tickets are $1.00 each, $5.00 for six or $10.00 for 15. Cash only please!

We are also still in need of a few volunteers for during and after the event. Those that volunteer during the event will be partnered with another volunteer so you can rotate on/off to spend time with your family too!
