Please take note of the revised calendar. Thank you to the community for the feedback. The dialogue around our calendar has been lengthy and interesting for years. I will continue to advocate for high quality learning time for all students during the 180 days they have with us each year. Although this dialogue was initiated around a religious holiday, I think it brings to light some great discussions around our commitment to learning.
The Abington School Committee revised the FY27 School Calendar at its meeting on June 9, 2026. The updated calendar can be found here: https://www.abingtonps.org/page/documents-and-forms and will be used to generate the BIG green calendar you will receive in the fall.

I am fortunate enough to be a part of our strategic planning team. This team includes parents, educators, administrators and other town officials. We are working together to align our priorities for the next 5 years and create a plan for achievement. Here is a survey for you to provide your feedback on the 5 year plan for Abington Public Schools. https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=0cp-qSjnl0y5BxOcfl7QwKMPMLwqlqhNuLCUDH-73iFUNVU3WUM1MU5LTlY5SlZOOExYOUVINlJCMC4u
Some things I’d love to hear from you ([email protected]):
-What three efforts, independent of funding, would you like to see as priorities for growth, improvement, or enhancement over the next 5-years?
-What three aspects of APS would you like to see preserved or remain the same?
-Where would you like to see the Abington Public Schools in 5-years?
