Here are some facts for everyone to consider as we approach the last few days of this primary campaign:

1. The middle school project will not displace children or interrupt learning, as the new building will be completely built before the old middle school is closed.

2. Yes, there has been an increase in spending over the past 15 years. One third of that increase comes from state mandated retirement contributions, which is nearly 30 million dollars in the 25-26 school year. Another sizable portion of the increase is the increase in salaries to attract and retain the high quality professionals who serve our students everyday. These two items make up the vast majority of the increase in our district's budget. The 4 Abington's Future slate will continue working to find savings in the budget without jeopardizing the quality of our educational programs.

3. The Educators for Abington slate will protect the rights of every student in our schools, especially those from marginalized communities who have found themselves under attack in this moment.

We are excited to announce that all four members of the Educators for Abington Slate won their elections for Abington School District's Board of Directors! We are eternally grateful for the outpouring of support that we received early this year, and throughout the primary and general election. We want to say thank you to everyone who helped us every step along the way; to our families, thank you for giving each of us the support needed to continue pushing forward, and for being with us in the quiet times, the anxious times, and the truly trying times. To our donors and volunteers, none of this is possible without your contributions and tireless support. To the Abington Rockledge Democrats - ARDC, Mike, Robin, Victoria, Mr. Floyd, Commissioners and Committee Members, thank you so much for the guidance you provided at all hours of the day and night.
