SVETN is a non-profit corporation established by the region’s school divisions and colleges in 1993.
Since its establishment in 1993, the Southwest Virginia Education and Training Network (SVETN) consortium has played a pivotal role in delivering educational services to schools and colleges across southwestern Virginia. Over the past 19 years, Elite Learning has been a cornerstone of SVETN's offerings, providing high school students across Southwest Virginia with quality online education. The Eli
te Learning program offers an extensive selection of courses, including core classes in mathematics and science, as well as electives such as Mythology and Music Theory. Courses are designed to cater to varied interests and learning preferences of students. The Elite Learning courses have been designed with input from educators, industry experts, and curriculum specialists to ensure they meet the highest standards of educational excellence. SVETN remains dedicated to supporting the educational goals of Southwest Virginia, and these innovative courses are a testament to the organization's commitment to advancing learning opportunities in the region. One of the highlights of the Elite Learning offerings is the inclusion of multiple Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses. These courses are designed to equip students with practical skills preparing them for real-world career opportunities.
