A Sweet Welcome to the Fall Semester!

Our Diesel and Welding students had a little something extra waiting for them on their first day of class!

A big thank you to Becky Kell, Connections Coach with Single Stop, for setting up this table full of snacks in the Paramont Applied Technology & Workforce Center!

It was such a thoughtful way to welcome our Diesel and Welding students and help them start the fall semester off right. We appreciate Becky and Single Stop for helping make our students feel welcome and supported at VHCC! 💙

Congratulations to our Summer Nurse Aide students!

These students have successfully completed their Certified Nurse Aide class, and we are so proud of the hard work, dedication, and commitment they’ve shown throughout the program!

A special thank you to their instructors, Stephanie Pickle and Katie Smith, for the time, knowledge, encouragement, and hands-on guidance they provided to help prepare these students for a career in healthcare.

Now it’s on to the next step! Our students are preparing for the Virginia Board of Nursing (VBON) State Competency Exam, which includes both the written and skills examinations.

Please join us in congratulating them and wishing them the very best as they take this final step toward becoming Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)!
