Over the years one of the most constant presences at The Ward Y in Abingdon has been our Membership Director, Traci Petty. It is truly bittersweet to announce that her last day is today as she goes on to retirement!

Throughout her tenure here, Traci has been a trusted leader, mentor, and champion of the Y's mission. From her unwavering commitment to serving our members and leading the Community Leadership Board, to her instrumental role in making the Bel Air Turkey Trot the best race in Harford County, Traci's impact has been felt far beyond the walls of our center.

Her presence here will be felt long after she leaves and has truly made a difference and touched us all.
While we'll certainly miss her leadership and friendship, we're incredibly grateful for the legacy she leaves behind. Please join me in thanking Traci for her 17 years of service and wishing her a retirement filled with happiness, good health, and well deserved adventures.

Congratulations, Traci, and thank you for everything you've done for The Ward Y and the people of Harford County. Your impact will be felt for many years to come and you will ALWAYS be a part of our Ward Y family

The Lil Picasso class at Ward Y enjoyed their session on Art from Nature! 🧑‍🎨🎨🌿 We had fun learning about artists known for creating gorgeous works using things from nature....stones, dried flowers, sticks, sand, and feathers! 🪨🌼🪶Our next 4 week session begins on September 3. The class is held on Thursdays from 6:00-7:00 pm in the Family Room. We will enjoy creating pottery in different styles and learning about professional pottery artists! 🧑‍🎨🎨 Registration for Fall Session opens Monday, August 3. Sign up for this fun, educational, and creative class!! ☺️

So if you see a Lifeguard today, make sure to let them know you appreciate them!
