Leslie “Brooke” Rhymer knows firsthand exactly how far a foundation at Virginia Highlands can take you. After receiving a high school scholarship to attend VHCC, Brooke jumped into the Criminal Justice program—a move that allowed her to balance a local job with a flexible class schedule while benefiting from tight-knit classroom environments.

After earning her Associate of Applied Science from VHCC, Brooke went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from King University, followed by a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University.
