🌟 Meet Ms. Carissa! 🌟

Originally from California, Ms. Carissa brought her sunshine to Blue Mountain Childcare almost 8 months ago. With several years of early childhood experience, she loves helping little ones discover new things and seeing that magical moment when everything clicks.

Fun facts: She loves fishing, backroad drives with good music, and is a pro at organizing just about anything. She may be a little shy at first, but her heart for children shines bright.

Her promise to families: "Your children will always be safe, loved, and cared for. They make me smile and laugh a million times a day."

While summer is still in full swing, our staff have been hard at work preparing for an exciting new school year!

We’ve been diving into our brand-new VDOE-approved Circle Curriculum, planning lessons, exploring fun activities, and filling our calendars with hands-on learning adventures for every classroom.

What we love about Circle Curriculum:

🧩 Hands-on math, science, and problem-solving activities
❤️ Strong focus on social-emotional development

Ms Amber describes herself as caring and creative, and she loves finding fun, hands-on ways to help little ones learn. Whether it's singing songs, creating art, or exploring sensory play, she enjoys making every day exciting and meaningful.

Her favorite part of teaching is watching each child's unique personality shine and seeing those wonderful "aha!" moments when a new skill clicks. She believes learning should be filled with fun, laughter, and lots of love.

You'll also notice her collection of fun, whimsical earrings! From playful designs to colorful seasonal favorites, they're a cheerful part of her style and often spark smiles, conversations, and curiosity with the children. They fit right in with the joyful, wonder-filled classroom she loves to create.

When she's not in the classroom, you'll find her spending time with her family, enjoying live music, or soaking up the sunshine outdoors
