Hello, Falcon Families!

We are excited to welcome everyone back tomorrow! Here are a few important updates before the start of the school year:

**🚧 Thompson Drive Construction**
Construction continues on Thompson Drive as work progresses on the new roundabout. The Town of Abingdon, VDOT, and Jones Construction are working together to keep traffic moving as smoothly as possible during school arrival and dismissal. Construction crews will **not** be flagging traffic between **7:00–8:30 a.m.** or **2:30–4:00 p.m.**

**🌿 Landscaping**
As part of the construction, our landscaping has been disturbed. Please excuse our appearance while work is underway. Once construction is complete, we look forward to updating the landscaping along the front of the building.

**📚 Student Schedules**
To balance class sizes and accommodate our growing student population, some adjustments have been made to the master schedule. As a result, some student schedules may have changed. Students should check their student portal tomorrow morning for the most up-to-date schedule. Printed copies will also be available in the Guidance Office.

**📖 Standards of Student Conduct**

A few reminders regarding the dress code:

* Clothing may not contain profane language or images promoting illegal, violent, or inappropriate behavior, including weapons, drugs, alcohol, to***co, or other controlled substances.
* Midriffs must be covered.
* Clothing covering private areas must be opaque and should not reveal undergarments.
* Clothing must be appropriate for all scheduled classroom activities.
* Hats, hoods, and other head coverings are permitted as long as faces remain clearly visible and the school or classroom does not restrict them.

**📱 Cell Phone Policy**
Please review the Student Cell Phone and Smart Device Policy with your student. Abingdon High School will continue to enforce our **"Bell to Bell"** cell phone policy.

**🎓 Seniors with Online Classes**
Only seniors in good standing who have submitted their signed permission form may leave campus for approved online classes. **All students should report to the classes listed on their schedules on the first day of school. Attendance will be taken.**

**🍗 Tomorrow's Lunch**
Tomorrow's lunch includes:

* Crispy or Spicy Chicken Patty on a Bun
* French Fries
* Green Beans
* Fruit
* Milk

**🚗 Student Parking Passes**
Student parking passes have not yet arrived. We will notify students as soon as they are available. Parking passes are **$5**, and all student vehicles must be registered with the school and display a valid pass. Registration forms are available from **Mr. Greene**.
