The FBLA Club is challenging all students to help support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library by bringing in money next week (September 21 to 25) to help. All money raised will stay right here in Washington County to help provide FREE books to children in our community!

For every $1 donated, we will add a butterfly to our main hallway. Let’s see if we can fill the hall with butterflies while supporting a great cause! And there’s a little friendly competition...

The grade that raises the most money will earn the honor of putting a PIE in Mr. Francisco’s face! Bring your donations to your homeroom teacher. Grade-level totals will be announced each day so you can see who is in the lead!

Friday is the FINAL day!
All donations must be turned in by 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25.

🏆 The winning grade will be announced at 11:00 a.m.

🥧 Mr. Francisco will get PIED during lunch!

🎥 EBSMS News will be there to videotape the big event!

Also next Friday, September 25th is “9 • 2 • 5” - Dolly Parton Day. Dress up in your best Dolly-inspired outfit and help us celebrate!

So bring in those dollars, fill our hallway with butterflies, and help us support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and children right here in Washington County!

It was an outstanding week for our student-athletes at E.B. Stanley Middle School!

Our Boys and Girls Cross Country teams both brought home the win on Wednesday at the Bearcat Crossing Race at Sugar Hollow Park, while our Falcon Volleyball team had a great showing on Saturday, finishing as Runner-Up in the 2026 Cavalier Classic in Carroll County!

We are proud of the way our student-athletes competed and represented E.B. Stanley.

Due to impacts from yesterday’s storms, Walden Road in Abingdon remains closed from Stanley Street to Branch Street.

Families and staff traveling to E.B. Stanley Middle School and Abingdon High School should plan their routes accordingly and allow extra travel time this morning. Abingdon Town Police will be in the area directing traffic; however, delays are expected.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as crews continue to address storm-related impacts.

🎉🍔Burger Bar Friday was a hit

Our middle and high school students got to build their burgers their way today as we kicked off Food Bar Fridays in WCPS cafeterias!

A big thank-you to our School Nutrition team for bringing this fun new lunch option to our students.

And a special thank-you to E.B. Stanley Middle School for letting us join students during lunch to capture some photos and videos, and to Holston High School for sharing a peek at their secret burger sauce!

This is just the beginning -- more Food Bar Fridays are coming later this month!
