Shout out to J Sleichter on her Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) through FFA.
J Sleichter has a Charolais heifer, named Marilyn, that just ended its show career this past Sunday. During Marilyn's 13-month show career, she was named grand or reserve champion in three "majors" or national cattle shows....quite a feat.
"BOY Marilyn Monroe" (her registered name with the charolais breed association) was the Grand Champion heifer at the 2020 American International Charolais Junior National Show in South Dakota (July), she was Reserve Grand Champion Charolais heifer at the 2020 American Royal in KC (Oct) and the Reserve Grand Champion Charolais heifer at the 2021 Cattlemen's Congress in Oklahoma City (last Monday).

[01/07/21] Attention FFA members!!! We are pushing our fun night activity back a week so more members will be able to attend! Instead of bowling this Sunday the 10th we will be bowling on Sunday the 17th!! We will still bowl from 6:30-8:00. Hope to see you there!

Congratulations to Austin Wuthnow and Rylie Volkman on earning their American degree! Only 1% of FFA members earn this degree so we are very proud of them!
Our FFA members painted a shed and a fence today! Thank you Blue Stem Embryo Transfer for sponsoring our FFA Chapter t-shirts!
Congratulations to all of our Abilene FFA members participating in the Kansas State Fair! Here are some highlights from this weekend so far:
Raine Garten was Grand Champion Market Lamb and Grand Champion breeding doe and top 10 senior showman.
Abi Lillard was 3rd Overall Market Hog and top 10 Senior Swine Showman.
Jackie Sleichter was Reserve Champion Maintainer Heifer.
Chase Lillard was Reserve Champion Senior Hog Showman.
Also, congratulations to Cooper and Dawson Wuthnow.

[07/30/19] FFA members. This week is fair week. If you completed a welding project this past year, bring it to Sterl Hall tomorrow Wednesday July 31st, between 4-7 and enter it into the fair. Judging will then take place Thursday and then projects are released Sunday at 3pm. If you have questions let Mr Cooper know. Any and all welding projects are welcome.
