Music and Character Education for children, ages birth through 4 years old. Young students learn in a stimulating, musical, non-threatening environment.

The Abilene Philharmonic is excited to offer Baby Music of Abilene in partnership with Suzuki educators Joyce McGlaun and Caitlin Clark! This program is a part of the Philharmonic’s initiative to reach students of all ages, beginning as early as infancy. Suzuki-trained instructors Joyce McGlaun and Caitlin Clark use nursery rhymes, dance, action songs, and instruments to teach basic musical skills

Marching rhythms and pitches, experiencing high and low pitches, learning concepts with classroom instruments. These are all part of learning music when you are a baby or toddler. It’s a bonus to have beautiful books to read at the end of class. We think we have the most wonderful classes in the world!

They are not just learning Eensy Weensy Spider words and actions! They are sharing space, cooperating, coordinating actions with concepts of “up, down, out”. The rain stick is a beautiful sound and the colors of the beads catch the eye. Sing with your children at home!!
