Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a reminder of the courage, service, and selflessness of those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy every day.

At Triumph Public High Schools, we remember the fallen, honor their legacy, and strive to inspire future generations to lead with purpose, courage, and gratitude.

For the last month, our campus has been raising money for the LYFE Essentials Closet, a student support initiative that helps provide hygiene products and everyday essentials for students in need. From deodorant and shampoo to soap, toothpaste, and other necessities, this fundraiser was all about making sure our students are cared for both inside and outside the classroom.

Today was the big payoff… and apparently students were VERY motivated to see me get pied in the face. 😅

Honestly, I’m still not sure if that makes me the favorite teacher or the least favorite teacher, but either way, it was worth every second.

At the end of the day, I will do absolutely anything for my students. Seeing our campus come together over the last month to support one another has been incredible, and this was such a fun and memorable way to wrap up the school year.

Laughter, school spirit, community, and students helping students. That’s what it’s all about.

This morning, the Community Room was filled with laughter, memories, and celebration as we honored our incredible Seniors of the Class of 2026 with a special Senior Breakfast!

Our students were treated to a wonderful traditional breakfast complete with pancakes, eggs, and all the goodness that comes with celebrating a major milestone. More than just a meal, this morning was about recognizing the hard work, perseverance, growth, and determination that each Senior has shown throughout their journey.

As we prepare to send our Seniors out in style, we are reminded that every challenge they overcame and every accomplishment they achieved helped shape the amazing young adults they are becoming.

We are beyond proud of the Class of 2026 and excited to see the impact they will make in the world.

The future is bright.
The journey is just beginning.
And together, we all Triumph. 🔥💙💛

Today was more than just a fundraiser. It was the beginning of something bigger for our students and our campus community.

Our “Burritos for a Cause” fundraiser was an incredible success as we came together to celebrate Cinco de Mayo while supporting a meaningful cause at Triumph. Because of the generosity, teamwork, and heart of our staff, community, parents, and supporters, we were able to raise funds and collect 275 donated items to officially launch the LYFE Essentials Closet.

The LYFE Essentials Closet was created with one purpose in mind: helping remove barriers that can stand in the way of student success. From hygiene products and clothing essentials to everyday necessities, this initiative is about making sure our students feel supported, valued, and empowered to thrive both inside and outside the classroom. The additional funds raised will continue helping provide supplies and meet the ongoing needs of our students throughout the year.

A special thank you to Mr. Michaelz, who had the vision for this event and truly spearheaded the cause from start to finish. His passion for students and commitment to creating opportunities and support systems for young people helped turn this vision into reality.

Thank you as well to C. Smith, Mrs. Michaelz, and Dr. June for their incredible efforts, teamwork, and support in helping make this event possible. It truly took people coming together with servant hearts and a shared mission to create something meaningful for our students.

We also want to give a huge thank you to the community of Abilene, our students’ parents, and every individual who has already donated to help launch the closet. Your kindness and generosity are directly impacting the lives of students and helping create opportunities for them to succeed.

At Triumph, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed without life circumstances becoming obstacles to their education, confidence, or future. Together, we are building more than a closet. We are building hope, support, encouragement, and pathways forward for students every single day.
