Logsdon School of Theology and Logsdon Seminary Awards Ceremony 2020 04/17/2020

Each spring Logsdon hosts an award ceremony in which we honor outstanding achievements among our undergraduate and seminary students, as well as among those who have graduated in the past year or are graduating next month. Since we could not gather for the ceremony which was scheduled for tonight, the faculty prepared this video so that we could still honor the great achievements of our students. Special thanks to Kelly Pigott for superb video editing! Be sure to send words of congratulations to our award winners as you watch.

This week Ben Johnson, Weekend Services Pastor at Beltway Park, was scheduled to be our Logsdon chapel speaker. Since we are no longer streaming services from the chapel, we asked Ben to make a video devotional that we might share with you all. I hope you will be encouraged as Ben shares some of his personal struggles and offers a helpful perspective from Philippians 4:4-9 about rejoicing and not being anxious during these difficult times. Thank you Ben!

We are so proud of Sunny and all God will do through him as he ministers to refugees!

Welcome House Knoxville celebrates the call of Ikojoh Sunny (Sunny) as Minister of Hospitality. In this role, Sunny will receive, orient, and host guests while being available for any pastoral needs, working closely with Director Cindy Hood.

Sunny hails from Nigeria and is a recent graduate of Logsdon Seminary in Abilene, Texas. Sunny is preparing for ordination to the Gospel Ministry in March. His employment with WHK is made possible in 2020 through a partnership grant from Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Student.Go initiative.

Join us in welcoming Sunny to this vital ministry. He would welcome the opportunity to visit over coffee or lunch, share his story, and that of Welcome House Knoxville! You can find Sunny on FB. Help Rick and Cindy orient Sunny to Knoxville!

Thank you for your ongoing support of what God is doing through WHK! He is preparing us for a season of growth and harvest!
