The ACU Speech Pathology, Social Work, and Dietetics/Nutrition programs are partnering with Hope Speaks this summer. What a blessing to partner in service with this fantastic organization!

🙌WHO WE ARE🙌
began in 2017 as an endeavor to provide essential speech therapy to children living in low-resourced communities in Uganda. Since then, the organization has grown to include two outreach centers (in Katanga & Kasokoso), and a clinic in Muyenga, while also providing these much needed services to other disability-focused organizations and schools.

The team now includes multiple Speech and Language Therapists, Social Workers, and Interns, all with the aim to give a voice to children living with disabilities in Uganda.

This flag, which once hung in ’s Sewell Auditorium, is a beautiful tribute to students and alumni who wore the military uniforms of the U.S. during WWII. Each star represented one of those who served. When the university received word of a death, the star was changed from blue to gold. Of the 1,088 stars, 40 were gold.

Today, we honor those who sacrificed all for our freedom. 🇺🇸

Second year students Brittanee and Josselyn are at Hendrick Bone and Joint this week. They are getting experience in a Physical Therapy clinic and seeing how Athletic Trainers can function in that setting.
A special thanks to Erin Dorrel, PT that has been with us for 5 years. Today was her last day at HBJ. She is moving to Oklahoma!

Our flags are at half staff today as we mourn those killed in the elementary school shooting in Uvalde. Please join us in praying for this small Texas community and the great loss it has suffered.
