It’s Abilene Gives Eve!

Our ABT company members benefit from dance BEYOND THE STAGE! And we need your support during !

Today, let’s talk about the most common trait a dancer builds: CONFIDENCE.

Dancers build confidence through consistent and repetitive training, mastering their goals, and focusing on enjoyment over perfection. We encourage our dancers to set small, achievable goals to master their technique, practicing facial expressions, and cultivating a growth mindset that treats mistakes as learning opportunities rather than failures. Confidence comes from rehearsing choreography until each of the steps are muscle memory, allowing dancers to perform by focusing on artistry rather than fear of forgetting. Even costumes help with confidence because it makes the dancer feel good about themselves and look polished and refined. Confidence is foundational to a dancer’s artistry and takes dance movements from mere steps into a powerful performance for our audiences to enjoy!
