Leighton Phillips has just been named 3rd place in Greenhand Creed Speaking in the State of Texas! This is out of every school in the state. We cannot be prouder of this amazing young student. Leighton, congratulations, your future is bright.

Please extend a big congratulations to our very own, Leighton Phillips, for making it to the finals in Greenhand Creed Speaking. Leighton will compete today for the final time at the 2025 state contest for her ranking amongst the top 10 in the state! Leighton has shown this year how hard work and diligence is the foundation of success. We will keep you updated on her placing this afternoon.

Today Wylie-Abilene FFA members attended the Big Country FFA District Convention.

Carson Stone did a phenomenal job as the 2024-2025 District President. Today he led the convention and retired his position.

JT Partin won 1st place in the talent competition, securing an advancement to the Area Contest.

Rylee Wright won 1st place in Extemporaneous Speaking, also securing an advancement to the Area Contest.

We were also represented by our officer team and other members that served as voting delegates. Please help us in congratulating our program on a great Convention!

Yesterday, Wylie-Abilene FFA was represented well at the Area 4 Greenhand Leadership Camp. Principle of Ag students attended 10 workshops that covered leadership, team building, communication, and FFA knowledge. Our very own, Carson Stone, helped facilitate a workshop on communication through his role as the Big Country District President. The students also participated in a canned food drive that the Area 4 Association put together. The future of the program is looking bright for Wylie!
