Love Poetry Contest announces winner - The Optimist Logan McSorley, junior psychology major from Austin, won the annual Love Poetry Contest with a poem written in high school from the perspective of a friend. A hearty congratulations to Logan McSorley, the winner of our 2025 Love Poetry contest! Her winning poem, "Letters Off the Page," dazzled our judge and earned her a writer's gift package. Thank you to all who sent in poems, and good job, Logan!!!

Congratulations to Katie Hurley, the "winner winner chocolate dinner" of our Spooky Halloween Short Story contest!! Dr. Shelly Sanders, ACU's Writer in Residence, selected Katie's story, "Buzz," from all our great entries, as the scariest and best-written of them all. Way to go, Katie!
