ππ Bug Adventures Were Buzzing at the Orange Street Center! π¦π
The younger two-year-olds at the Day Nursery of Abilene Orange Street Center had an exciting week exploring the wonderful world of bugs! During outdoor play, little explorers searched the playground for insects and let their imaginations soar as they pretended to be bugs themselvesβbuzzing around, hiding in boxes, and crawling like their favorite creepy-crawlies. ππΏ
The fun continued indoors with hands-on bug discoveries! Children created bug shadows on the wall using flashlights and their hands, explored interactive pop-up books filled with fascinating insects, and enjoyed a bug matching game that helped strengthen observation and cognitive skills. π¦ππ¦
Learning wasn't limited to bug activities. These growing learners also practiced important self-help skills during mealtime by doing family-style dining, serving themselves during lunch, building confidence, independence, and pride in what they can do on their own. ππ₯ͺβ¨
From imaginative play to early literacy, science exploration, and growing independence, it was a week full of discovery, intentional learning, and sprinkled with loads of fun! β€οΈ

What an exciting week of learning, creativity, and adventure at the Cedar Street Center! π
The 4- and 5-year-old class spent the week exploring the importance of family, friendship, and teamwork. The children proudly created family portraits and then worked together as their own βdaycare family,β collaborating and building in learning centers.
