🌟 Sherry Lane Celebrating and Learning 🌟
This week at Sherry Lane was filled with celebration, learning, and fun! 💛
🎂 Grandparents Day Infants celebrated Foster Grandparent Irene by decorating a special card and enjoying cake together.
🎶 12 to 18 Months The children explored music, practiced making different sounds, and used paper fans to strengthen fine motor skills. Outdoor play included kicking and chasing balls and enjoying picture books.
🎃 Two Year Olds The children decorated pumpkins for the Fall Festival wall while practicing creativity and fine motor skills. Dancing to the drum also encouraged confidence, coordination, and positive peer interactions.
🇺🇸 Preschool The children learned about September 11 and discussed respecting and caring for the American flag while learning about history, community, and symbols.

✨ Cedar Street Busy Little Learners ✨🌼
Cedar Street 12 to 18 month friends had a delightfully busy week filled with curiosity, exploration, and fun!
🚌 Buggy Rides: The children enjoyed cruising around outside, waving at squirrels, soaking up the sunshine, and taking in everything around them.
🫧 Sensory Fun: Sensory bags provided plenty of opportunities to squish, smoosh, and explore different textures.
🔎 Hands On Exploration: The interactive wall was a favorite, giving little hands plenty to tap, twist, and discover.
🧱 Building Together: Children worked alongside friends using Legos and blocks to build towers and creative structures while practicing teamwork and coordination.
Friday brought a special celebration for Grandparents Day! 💛 Grandparents joined the children for a special snack featuring cookies, build your own parfaits, and juice. The afternoon was filled with smiles, quality time, and plenty of sweet memories together! 🌈

Vine Street Pre K had a wonderful week filled with learning, celebrating, and discovering what makes each child special! 🥰
👵👴 Grandparents Day Children enjoyed breakfast with grandparents and gave them special handmade cards. 💕
🪞 All About Me Children looked in the mirror and talked about the things that make each person unique, including eye color. 👀✨
✂️ Scissor Safety Children practiced using scissors safely by cutting Play Doh, turning an important skill into a fun hands on activity!

🖐️💕 Orange Street Grandparents Day 💕🖐️
Orange Street had a wonderful time celebrating Grandparents Day with the theme “Best Grandparents HANDS DOWN!” 🎨🖐️ Children from every classroom created special handprint projects to show just how much grandparents mean to them.
Grandparents and families were also welcomed for a special Grandparents Day Breakfast featuring fresh fruit, pastries, and kolaches while enjoying meaningful time together. 🍓🥐
Thank you to all the grandparents who joined the celebration and helped make the morning so special! Your love and support create memories that children will treasure. ❤️

🌟 It’s Featured Staff Friday, and today we’re celebrating Casey Berg from our DNA Vine Center! 💛

Casey joined the Day Nursery of Abilene family in October 2025 and serves as our School Age teacher, but her connection reaches far beyond her classroom! Casey knows and cares about children throughout the center and is always willing to jump in wherever she’s needed. 💕

One of the things that makes Casey so special is the way she makes children feel seen and welcomed. She makes a point to say hello when they arrive and goodbye when they leave simple moments that can make a BIG difference in a child’s day! 🥰

Casey also helps our School Age children build important life skills, keeps learning fun, and does a great job communicating with families about what their children are doing both at school and at DNA. She’s flexible, dependable, positive, and always ready to lend a helping hand to her coworkers. 🙌

Casey, thank you for all you do to support our children, families, and your DNA team! We’re so glad you’re part of our DNA family! 💛🌟

🌟 Day Nursery of Abilene - Vine Street Learning Through Play 🌟
Vine Street had a fun morning filled with exploration, imagination, and learning! 🥰
👶 Infants: Practiced grabbing and holding different toys, strengthening hand muscles and coordination.
🫧 Toddlers: Had a blast playing with bubbles while getting cleaned up after snack time!
🌳 Outdoor Fun: Children of all ages enjoyed morning outdoor play while the weather was still comfortable. Fresh air, movement, and sunshine made for a great start to the day! ☀️
🎭 Two-Year-Olds: Used their imaginations through creative and pretend play, building social and imaginative skills.
🔎 Preschoolers: Explored fingerprints and learned that everyone has unique fingerprint patterns! 🖐️
It was a wonderful morning filled with hands-on learning, creativity, movement, and plenty of fun! 💕

🍩 A Sweet Week at the Day Nursery of Abilene - Orange Street Center
Orange Street 3-year-olds had a fun-filled week of learning, creativity, and play! The class focused on the letter D and enjoyed making delicious donuts for snack time, followed by creating colorful paper donuts during art.
The children also began learning about the color red and created special red heart crafts to practice recognizing their new color. ❤️
Throughout the week, children enjoyed nutritious meals and snacks through the CACFP Food Program, explored classroom centers, practiced sharing and interacting with friends, and spent time enjoying the beautiful weather outdoors.
It was a sweet week filled with learning, creativity, friendship, and plenty of fun! 🍩🎨🛝
