The Taylor County Expo Center just witnessed the STRONGEST athletes in Texas throw down at the 2026 THSPA State Powerlifting Meet… and what a weekend it was 💪

🏆 State records were BROKEN
🏆 Champions REPEATED
🏆 New lifters ARRIVED and made noise across multiple weight classes

This season marked the first year of unequipped lifting—and it delivered in a BIG way from start to finish. And for the first time ever, 5A and 6A had their own state meets, meaning even more athletes got their shot at the podium… and they took advantage of it 🥇🥈🥉

NONE of this happens without the grind, leadership, and commitment from coaches across the state. Y’all set the standard—and it showed all season long.

Wow! What an incredible and successful two days! A huge thank you to Taylor County Expo Center for the amazing southern hospitality, as well as our spotters and loaders from local schools and universities in Abilene. We’re also grateful to Visit Abilene, Texas for providing accommodations for our judges and giving a warm welcome to our teams, lifters, and their families.

With four divisions and two meets, we had an impressive 1,144 lifters qualify for state! It’s been an amazing journey, and we appreciate everyone who made it possible.
