As systemic thinkers, we know we don’t function in isolation.
Our emotions, nervous systems, and relationships all interact.
Take a moment to pause and reflect.
How connected do you feel this week?

Breakfast conversations matter more than we think.
Some of the most meaningful relational moments happen over coffee before class, before work, before the day gets busy.
As MFT students, we study systems, attachment, and communication, but it always starts with something simple: showing up.
What’s one small way you’re showing up for your relationships this week?
Here are a few ideas to consider:
• Put your phone down during a conversation 📱
• Ask one deeper follow-up question🙋
• Offer encouragement without being asked
• Repair quickly after a misunderstanding ❤️🩹
• Schedule intentional time with someone who matters

❄️ Even when classes pause due to icy weather, growth continues.
Our MFT students are staying grounded, connected, and reflective because learning happens everywhere, not just in the classroom.
💜 Community care matters.
🧠 Mental health matters.

Thoughtful Thursday 🧠❄️
As winter weather approaches, we want to gently remind our ACU and Abilene community that preparation doesn’t have to mean panic.
Thoughtful planning helps regulate stress, supports safety, and protects our nervous systems, especially during uncertainty.
✔️ Stay informed
✔️ Prepare what you reasonably need
✔️ Avoid unnecessary travel
✔️ Check on your people
We’re thinking about you. Stay grounded, stay safe, and take care of one another.
