A state-mandated 21-day waiting period is required before Mr. Hill can officially be hired as Superintendent. Currently, Mr. Hill is Superintendent for Paint Creek ISD. Prior to that position, he worked for Albany ISD as the Secondary Principal and has also served Knox City-O’Brien CISD as the High School Principal. Community Notice: Tornado Shelter at Abernathy Middle School
While the shelter is not currently open, it will be made available if and when conditions require. Typically when sirens are initiated.
Our goal is to help keep our neighbors safe when storms arise. If the shelter is activated, we will share updates through local channels and social media.
Please remember: For the safety and health of all individuals, pets are not allowed inside the shelter. We encourage pet owners to plan ahead and make alternate arrangements when possible.
Thank you for your understanding and support. Stay weather-aware and safe, Abernathy! 💙🌪️
