✨There is something truly special about creating together✨
At TimberNook, group art isn’t about making identical projects or following step-by-step directions. It’s about children sharing ideas, solving problems, communicating, and creating something far bigger than any one child could make alone.
With open-ended materials, children naturally negotiate, experiment, inspire one another, and discover that every contribution has value. As their masterpiece grows, so do important life skills like cooperation, flexibility, confidence, creativity, and perseverance.
When children create together, they learn that art is more than the finished product—it becomes a language for connection, imagination, and community.
Sometimes the most meaningful masterpiece isn’t what hangs on the wall. It’s the friendships, conversations, and teamwork that happened while it was being made.

✨Four weeks of TimberNook.
✨Four weeks of unforgettable childhood
Over the past month, our campers have turned stories into memorable adventures. They’ve built haunted houses, forts, Yeti traps, and enchanted tea parties, caught fish in the creek, climbed numerous trees, marched in homemade instrument bands, raced eggs, painted colorful masterpieces, wrapped gifts in Santa’s workshop, climbed trees, splashed in the water and mud, whittled sticks, and let their imaginations lead the way.
While the play looked different each day, the growth was the same
💚Confidence Blossomed
💚Friendships Formed
💚Creativity Flourished
Children discovered just how capable they are when given the freedom to play.
Here’s to four incredible weeks of muddy boots, big imaginations, and memories that will last a lifetime.

✨Day One of Village Folk Camp was filled with imagination, creativity, and teamwork as our students transformed the woods into their very own village✨
Armed with an abundance of loose parts and natural materials, the children designed and built forts of all shapes and sizes—creating spaces for gathering, storytelling, problem-solving, and play.
Fort building is so much more than play. As children plan, carry materials, negotiate ideas, and adapt their structures, they are strengthening critical thinking skills, cooperation, communication, and perseverance.
The uneven terrain, heavy branches, and open-ended materials also support gross motor development, balance, coordination, and spatial awareness.
✨This is the magic of TimberNook: giving children the time, space, and freedom to create their own worlds in nature.✨
