“I’ve known since the second grade I wanted to be a teacher, so it just kind of fit. Why not Northern? I’d been coming here since the summer before my freshman year with Upward Bound. Knowing campus, it just helps make it feel like home. As a student, I’ve made so many connections. I work for Sarah Botkin, and through her, I became an orientation leader. I’ve just met so many people. I tell my orientees in my orientation leader group, ‘the more faces that you recognize on campus, the more it feels like home. So making those connections helps make you feel like you fit. Working on campus, everyone always understands you’re a student first. Your success is always important. Even if something is outside of your comfort zone, just grab as many opportunities as you can. You won’t regret trying. Statue Of Famed Ponca Chief Set For Niobrara NIOBRARA, Neb. — Chief Standing Bear and his Ponca Tribe were driven from their homeland in the 1870s, forcefully relocated by the federal government from northeast Nebraska to Oklahoma.

Though they didn't win an award, Kelsey Iverson and the NSU Rugby Club had a great time with their float in the NSU Homecoming Parade!

Congrats to Tanner Peltier for being recognized as one of the Qdoba Athletes of the Week!

Bullen, Peltier Named Qdoba Athletes of the Week ABERDEEN, S.D. - Northern State's Tanner Peltier (men's cross country) and Dakotah Bullen (women's cross country) have been named as the Qdoba Athletes of the Week for their efforts on the course at the Herb Blakely Invite.

Can't believe the summer is already almost over! But it's that time to start getting ready to return to school. Classes begin on Monday, August 21st.
Move-In for returning students is on Saturday, August 19th starting at 10:00am. Please let me know if there's anything we can do to help make your move back to campus an easy one. Also, stop in to see me once you're back so that we can confirm your books for the semester. Thanks!
