I made the kiddos a gluten free chicken alfredo penne pasta, fresh garden tomatoes, chopped salad, and mandarin oranges for lunch today ❤️
Now that the news has been fully received by those it applies to most, it is time I publicly announce the closing of my Daycare. 😔
I have loved the role of caregiver with such intensity over these last 7+ years. Letting go has been one of the hardest decisions of my life.
I appreciate all of you who gave me the honor of caring and nurturing your little ones. Some of you have been with me from the very beginning, and I will miss each of you very much. ❤️
Thank you, everyone, for the love and support over these years. I will never forget this precious season of my life. 🥹
With Love,
Nanny C.

We are about to try a brand new kind of lunch today at Nanny C’s! Sausage Creole! One of my favorite meals that my dad use to make for me 🥰
The kids will get a mix of tomatoes, peppers, onions, a flavorful sauce with juicy chunks of cooked sausage—all topped over rice! A slice of buttered bread, a heaping scoop of raspberries and a side of crisp, crunchy cucumbers!
Crossing my fingers and hoping so much that they enjoy trying this new dish! 🙌🏼🙏🏼😃

Working on strengthening our pencil holding muscles!!! A small ball of playdoh, a raw spaghetti noodle and some beads. I show and encourage the kids to use their pincher fingers, one bead at a time, and to drop it on the noodle without grabbing the noodle with their other hand! Great hand-eye coordination involved! When they’ve filled the noodle to the top, we then reverse by removing one bead at a time! Once they’ve completed the task then they get to have sensory play and combine the beads with the playdoh—they always get so creative! Pictured is my youngest daughter! She adores this activity, as do all the others!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Yesterday we chatted about GERMS! We talked about where they are, how they get from one place to the next, the importance of not sharing germs when we are sick, and how we can help decrease the spread of them! It was so fun letting each kiddo create their own little ‘germ’ and watching their eyes go wide in surprise with our germs experiment!
***For a great example on the importance of hand washing, take a glass dish and fill with water. Allow your child to sprinkle pepper onto the water (this represents germs). Then have your child dip their finger into some dawn dish-soap and touch the top of the water—this causes the pepper to completely move away from the soapy finger; showing just how helpful and important it is to wash our hands. 🙌🏼🦠🧼

It’s breakfast for lunch at Nanny C’s today! Whipped up some of my favorite homemade pancakes for everyone! Little do they know that there was NO sugar, and that they’re made out of almond flour 🤗🙌🏼 No one complained, and EVERYONE had seconds!!!
