Just Kidding Childcare Center

Just Kidding has been busy this summer! So much to do and so little time! Pre-school and after school have been doing a lot of fun things, from playing with shaving cream during water day to going to Storybook Land and the music park!

July has been busy at JK! Lots of fun and lots of field trips! Here is the after school at a museum! Looks like it was tons of fun!

The Preschool went to the Library this week! What fun! Field trips like this are not only fun but important to help show children more of the world.

To quote a conversation between one of the preschoolers and a teacher:
T:”Do you know where you’re going today?”
“The Library!!”
T:“Are you excited to see all the books!”
“No, there aren’t books there”
T:“… Yes there are books, that’s why it’s called a Library”
“No! No books at the library!”
T:“You’ll see when we get there…”

Just kidding will be closed on Thursday July 4th in observance of Independence Day!

Last week our Preschool had the privilege of Visiting Mother Joseph Nursing Home.

A BIG thank you to the Aberdeen Fire and Rescue for sending firefighters Anderson and Deyo to Just Kidding on Friday June 14, to talk about Fire Safety and give our preschool a tour of the fire truck! 🚒👨‍🚒

Just Kidding will be closed Wednesday, June 19th, in observance of Juneteenth.

CEF came and did VBS in the morning this last week!

Preschools 1 and 2 had a visit from a Dental Hygienist! Learned losts of fun things about keeping our teeth clean!

It was just a little too cold to go outside, but nothing stops the fun of water play at JK!

Hello, my name is Adwoa Street, I was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa. After completing my High School education I moved to England to further my education. I earned my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Studies and a Masters in Childhood and Society both from the University of Warwick in England.

I’ve worked with children and their families for 22 years in different educational establishments in Ghana and England. These past experiences include teaching primary and secondary school students in Ghana for 3 years, working as a childcare officer and a family support worker for the government funded program in England. I also managed an After School club along with a home daycare for several years. Finally I worked as a teacher educator at a local college in England training teachers in early childhood development.

In 2016, I relocated to Aberdeen, South Dakota with my son to pursue a second Masters degree in Counselor Education at Northern State University. During our time here, we have been very blessed to be part of the Freedom Church family.

I am very passionate about building stronger families and seeing children grow in the Lord and developing their God given talents.

I look forward to serving you and your families!
