So let’s be real, Stephanie is the one to beat! As you know, we have a special year long series called Varsity Yoga on Tuesday nights. The top three attendees for the year are going to get custom sweatshirts. I mean you do realize that Agni makes these for a living and they sell for big bucks! Go ahead and look it up, bookworm!

But you should be coming to class not for the prizes, although the prizes are cool. You should be coming to class or at least something like it for your own sake. Your own resiliency, your own health, your body, and your mind. If you can’t make out many yoga classes, I certainly hope you’re finding something. Life is not going to get easier, we aren’t going to suddenly get magical time in our schedule.

We will see you on the mat — or see you about town!

And again, congratulations Stephanie for nailing it once again!

Good morning! It’s Agni!

Please don't panic or anything, i am just sharing in the sprit of education.

One of the reasons I started this yoga project was because I could see that Grays Harbor has many struggles. We have the highest incarceration rate of nonviolent youth offenders in the state, the second highest unemployment in the state, and a disability rate that is almost twice the national average. And that’s just a few stats.

I built the Little Switch Yoga project because yoga is incredible. Not only does Yoga offer strength and mobility benefits (which correlate directly to longevity) but yoga is a place where we can meet with one another and co-regulate our nervous systems and have reliably safe and constructive interactions. You can learn yoga and then practice it for free, anywhere! It doesn't require a high investment of time or equipment. Little Switch itself, is masterfuly constructed. We ahave a zero waste ethos, we are q***r owned, and the only vegan brick and mortar space in the county!

Rent remains our largest expense. Our move in January definitely saved us a lot on that account, and I’m so grateful for everyone who helped us with the move!

If you see a clean and safe space or if you know of another enterprise would like to share rent and space, please reach out to me directly.

We don’t have any plans to move sooner or anything like that. I am just always seeking more stability! And I wanted the community in general to know that rent is our primary expense.

It isn’t our only expense, however! We pay instructors, we pay for schedulers and software and websites, we pay for insurance, and we pay a small marketing stipend. You cannot have a reliable and quality project without some money and funding flowing here and there.

Everyone reading here and most especially our Members, please know that you are keeping this project alive! We are approaching 3,000 community hours of services! That is an incredible accomplishment!

We are doing this on a shoestring budget, and with one dedicated organizer (me) and three incredible instructors. Thank you everyone who comes to class and again thank you Members most of all!
