The Harford County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (HCAC-DST) is partnering with the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Harford County on National Voter Registration Day to ensure community members are ready to vote in the upcoming election, and we want you to join us!

During this free, public session, a Harford County Board of Elections representative will provide training and tools to empower you to register voters all throughout the state of Maryland for the next two years. This virtual session will run no more than one hour.

113 years ago, our Founders marched in the 1913 Woman Suffrage Procession, demanding a right that was not yet theirs. Black women would not see full, unimpeded access to the ballot until decades later, and that fight for access has never fully ended.

That history is exactly why National Voter Registration Day, September 15, matters so much to who we are as a Sorority. Every registration honors that struggle and carries it forward. It protects our voice in the decisions that shape our everyday lives: access to healthcare, the strength of our economy, the quality of our schools, and the freedoms we exercise every day.

Registering isn't just a box to check; it's how we claim the seat at the table our Founders marched for. Twenty-five years ago, September 11, 2001 changed our nation forever. Today we pause to honor the lives lost at the Pentagon, the World Trade Center, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and to remember the bravery of the first responders and service members, including our own sorors, who answered the call.

We will never forget the actions of that day and the impact on our nation. We carry forward the memories of the lives lost, honoring their legacy through how we choose to live and serve.

Harford County Alumnae is so proud to celebrate our First Vice President, Soror Constance Buckley, on her graduation from the Delta PEARL Program, Cohort IV! ❤️🤍

If you know Soror Constance, you know she brings her whole heart to Delta. She shows up, she serves, she supports, and she is always willing to do the work. Watching her continue to invest in her own leadership while pouring so much into our chapter makes this accomplishment even more special.

Congratulations, Soror Constance! We are proud of you, we celebrate you, and we cannot wait to see where this next chapter of leadership takes you.

It’s that time of year!! The Harford County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (HCAC-DST) was happy to support the Edgewood Middle School community by collecting and donating essential school supplies and classroom materials to support both students and educators for the upcoming academic year. Due to the generosity, dedication, and enthusiasm of chapter and community members, we officially exceeded last year’s donation totals!

So grateful for everyone who supported this Delta Academy and Emergency Response Team (ERT) back-to-school collaboration!
