I have been inspired by the actions and words of Dr. John M. Perkins (Civil Rights activist), the NSU faculty that helped shaped the way I think, and my father. I wouldn’t be who or where I am today if it were not for the generous example all of these people have offered. Being a Northern State alumnus has helped me succeed by teaching me every obstacle is merely a springboard for success, and the true value of education exists in the person it makes you, not the paycheck it wins you.
