Still need to enroll for Fall 2026? Come to an enrollment day! TRIO students are also invited to work with the Specialist to select classes and even create a schedule for the entire academic year!

Fall quarter is just around the corner! Get everything you need to start at GHC at Enrollment Days on August 18 & 19 and September 8 & 9 from 10 AM to 2 PM in the tulalW Student Center.

Apply, take placement tests, meet with advisors, register for classes, get help with financial aid, and build a plan to achieve your goals all in one visit. (You can apply anytime, but you can get it all done in one stop at Enrollment Days!)

TRIO celebrated our graduates at our End of Year Celebration last Saturday, and we are so happy that Cristian Martinez Ramirez is one of those graduates! He has worked incredibly hard to earn not just one, but two, degrees! Keep up the good work, Cristian! This is just the beginning ☺️

"I chose Grays Harbor College back when I was a running start student at Elma High School. I chose GHC because it was relatively close to home and because it had all the required prerequisites I needed for the nursing program.

Some of my favorite memories from GHC are all the friends I have made along the way, not only with my classmates, but also with staff. They were the ones who made my time at GHC memorable.

While attending GHC, I am proud of my accomplishment of maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.94 and finishing this year with two degrees, my Associate of Arts (DTA)and my Associate in Pre-Nursing (DTA/MRP).

My plan is to continue in GHC and enter the nursing program. After completing the nursing program I plan on transferring to a university to earn a BSN and enter the medical field.

TRIO has helped me by giving me snacks when I needed a little food and by loaning me books for my classes. Another big help from TRIO was receiving advice from advisors, this was critical for me when I was confused and needed a little guidance in my path. Thank you for everything!"

TRIO is so proud of Joy Church - a Grays Harbor College 2026 Human Services graduate. Joy, because of your determination and hard work, you're finally at the finish line. Congratulations - you did it! We are so excited to see what you do next.

From Joy:

"I worked as a caregiver for developmentally disabled adults for five years before being injured on the job. Through a retraining program, I chose Grays Harbor College because it was close to home and allowed me to pursue my passion for helping others through human services.

Some of my favorite college memories include being involved in Hope Squad and TRIO, building friendships, and growing confident through presentations and activities. I’m proud of maintaining grades while balancing school and grief. Programs like TRIO SSS and TRIO Upward Bound helped me grow and find my voice.

After graduation, I plan to earn bachelor’s degree in human services and work with youth and families through advocacy and support.

I’m grateful to family, friends, and TRIO staff for encouraging me through difficult times. Special thanks to best friend, Scyeland Hines, Shelly Hoffman, and Hope Squad family for their support. Biggest influence is dad, my guardian angel, who taught me to stay strong.

TRIO SSS gave me support, leadership opportunities, and resources that helped me believe in myself and stay focused on goals. I plan to use my degree to help others through advocacy."

"I chose Grays Harbor College because I come from a low-income, first-generation background, and it gave me an opportunity to continue my education close to home which allowed me to help my family while working toward my AA degree.

After graduation, I hope to continue my education and work toward earning my bachelor’s degree. I want to keep building my knowledge and create more opportunities for my future career and family.

I am proud of being able to balance school, family responsibilities, and personal challenges while continuing to work toward graduation. I am also proud of growing academically and becoming more confident in myself and my future goals."

TRIO is in the news! Dolly Days here at Grays Harbor College made it into The Daily World and Washington’s Community and Technical Colleges newsletter!

Did you hear? TRIO SSS donated 145 books to the Aberdeen Rotary Club and they were able to stock all the Little Free Libraries around town! Thank you everyone who participated in our fun activities and donated to our book drive. Everyone deserves to have access to books!
