For we have partnered with .jacks.sdstate and . NAfME is one of the biggest networking opportunities we have as future music educators, and we are so glad to have met these two other amazing chapters and to be able to advocate for them and support them through music.

EXCITING NEWS!!
Three (that’s right, THREE) of our own will be hosting their joint senior recital THIS SUNDAY (March 1st) at 3PM in the Krikac Auditorium.
This recital not only features three of our members, but also our current president (madame Natalie Miles) and our current treasurer (mister Brody Hampl) as well as an esteemed veteran member (mister Stephen Rowenhorst). We hope to see you there.

NAfME check-in!!
I hope everyone enjoyed their Winter Break and were able to celebrate the holidays to their mind’s content! Tonight our executive team worked long and hard planning events for the upcoming semester.
We also talked about how we can keep everyone involved in our organization—so be prepared for some very fun and very awesome music-filled events coming in the next few months.

On Wednesday (Reading Day), 12/10, a small group from our chapter took a break from studying to go caroling around Aberdeen! We all had a blast sharing music with area nursing homes and daycares, and we especially enjoyed when we were able to get suggestions for songs to sing and to get others to sing along with us. 10/10, would recommend caroling with us next year!!

On this , we are highlighting our amazing mentors! These folks make sure the freshmen in the music program are taken care of by getting to know them, sharing information about upcoming events, and answering any and every question. We, here at NSU, are blessed to have a strong music education program filled with people who continue to inspire others and support past, present, and future music educators!

For we have decided to post about the biggest group NSU has brought to SDMEA in many years (possibly ever!) We had a blast attending sessions led by other professionals in the field, and talking with the alum from our very own school to gain experience from them. We are so excited to see our friends from SDSU and USD at this year’s conference!
