Master Gardener, Mr. Greg Murray teamed up with first grade teacher, Ms. Tammy Day and Title I Teacher Specialist, Ms. Melissa Stout to present professional development to grade level teams. Each grade level decided what seeds they will be planting in their own team garden bed and made connections to their life science curriculum units. We are looking forward to using our outdoor space to make other curricular connections too. Keep checking back for updates and surprises coming this spring and summer! *A special thank you to Mr. Murray for all of his time, knowledge and dedication. We appreciate you so much! #hallsstrong

Yesterday our fourth graders showed Mrs. Douglas some love to celebrate National Principal’s Month! ♥️ #hallsstrong

Photos from Halls Cross Roads Elementary's post 10/25/2021

Today in honor of Principal Appreciation Month, Hall’s Cross Roads celebrates our Principal, Mrs. Douglas for her passion for educational excellence and selfless commitment to her students and staff. Mrs. Douglas likes to be visible and accessible in the school building, so she uses an old cart as a mobile desk. Well today, the teacher specialists decked out that old set of wheels with a new “ Daisy Desk” complete with an apple paper weight, a water bottle, a new facemask(School Principal of Tiny Humans), and candy! The fifth grade teachers and students surprised her with a celebration in the Great Hall with handwritten letters of appreciation. We appreciate all you do for us every day Mrs. Douglas!! ♥️

🍎Welcome to our new itinerant art teacher!!

“Hello all! My name is Salena Benedetto, and I look forward to being the itinerant Art teacher at Halls Cross Roads, Roye-Williams, and George D. Lisby Elementary this school year. I graduated from Towson with my bachelor’s in art education in 2014. I have been a special educator for the past 7 years at Kennedy Krieger High School and am excited to be back in an art room! I spend my time outside of the classroom with my 3 munchkins. I enjoy all things Disney and Harry Potter and love creating (both memories and art). I hope to help the students embrace their creative sides while learning and cannot wait to see the amazing things they create."
