Congratulations Dr. Uttermark!

Aberdeen Central High School Principal Dr. Jason Uttermark has been named the 2026-27 State High School Principal of the Year!

The award is presented each year by the South Dakota Association of Secondary School Principals (SDASSP).

Dr. Uttermark is in his 21st year as Central High School’s principal. The prestigious honor recognizes his exceptional leadership, commitment to student achievement and lasting impact on the school community.

Dr. Uttermark’s award was announced Tuesday by Superintendent Dr. Becky Guffin at the Aberdeen Public School District’s fall 2026 in-service event at CHS.
