Let's meet our next Leader of the Pack recipient, Jeremiah Maxfield!

Jeremiah graduated from NSU in 2020. He currently lives in Warner, SD where he is a GIS Developer for the State of South Dakota. When asked about his time at NSU, he said that "the professor's teaching style within the science department really helped to prepare me for life after college in the workforce. They taught us by using real world examples and encouraged open thoughts and discussions. They also taught the importance of asking the right questions and went out of their way to show they care about their students by preparing them to be successful for life after college."

Congrats, Jeremiah!

Meet Lindsey Huber, our next Leaders of the Pack recipient!

Lindsey graduated from NSU in 2008. She currently lives in Groton, SD and she is an Instructor of Management Information Systems at Northern State University in Aberdeen. Lindsey's time in college wasn't just an education; it was the discovery of her people and a sense of belonging. In the classrooms, she found knowledge; in the community, she found connection, and, in this environment, she discovered her lifelong friends. NSU became her home, a place where she felt understood, valued, and empowered to pursue her goals. As she transitioned from being a student to becoming an alum, and from a staff member to a faculty position, her commitment to NSU only deepened. Lindsey now has the privilege of not only imparting knowledge but also developing the next generation of thinkers, innovators, and leaders. And as an alumnus of NSU, she remains connected to the ever-growing network of individuals who share a common love for this institution.

Congrats, Lindsey!

Meet Jessica Vogel, our next Leaders of the Pack recipient!

Jessica graduated from NSU in 2006. She currently lives in Aberdeen, SD where she is the superintendent at the South Dakota School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (SDSBVI). Northern provided Jessica with the foundation necessary to achieve her academic and professional goals. As she went through the teacher preparation program at NSU, Jessica worked in the dorms at SDSBVI through the work study program. Both of those opportunities helped her to build skills and confidence throughout her teaching career, graduate school, and to pursue her dream of returning to SDSBVI as the superintendent.

Congrats, Jessica!

Let's learn about our next Leaders of the Pack recipient! Meet Daniel Jimenez ๐Ÿ‘‹

Daniel graduated from NSU in 2018. He currently lives in Madison, MN where he is a music teacher for the Summit School District. Daniel says "one of the most meaningful achievements in my career is the genuine connection with students who share how music has profoundly shaped their personal growth. Their heartfelt stories not only underscore the intrinsic value of music education but also serve as a constant reminder of the profound influence an educator can have on an individual's journey."

Congrats, Daniel!

03/01/2024

Meet our next Leaders of the Pack recipient, Kristie Martin!

Kristie graduated from NSU in 2006. She currently lives in Aberdeen, SD where she is the Market President at Dacotah Bank. Martin's time at NSU allowed her to find her passions and continue her desire to volunteer in the community. While at NSU, she was heavily involved with student organizations including CAB (Campus Activity Board), Student Senate, and Student Ambassadors. Not only that, but she was able to form lifelong friendships and maintain connections with faculty and staff who helped her grow as her professional life grew over the past 17 years. The environment and facility at Northern gave her the confidence to continue education later in life when it made sense.

Congrats, Kristie!

He said that his time at NSU had a tremendous impact on his personal and professional career.
