Please join us in congratulating GHC student Jenn Blodgett for winning runner up in the Washington Statewide Inspirational Speech Championship!

Jenn was one of five students selected to compete in the championships from among nominees representing Washington’s 34 community and technical colleges. Students begin the process by submitting three-minute audition videos, which are evaluated by a panel of out-of-state communication professionals. The panel selects the top five speakers to advance to the statewide competition.

This year, Dr. Andrew Gaines, Theatre Arts and Communications Instructor at GHC, nominated and coached both Jenn Blodgett and Nabeel Hameed. In addition to Jenn earning a spot among the top five competitors, Nabeel was selected as an alternate for the championship.

Way to go, Chokers!

We asked World Class Scholar students to name an adult who has made a difference in their lives, and we received so many thoughtful responses that we wanted to share a few.

We are excited to bring the shows message of kindness, unity, and resilience to the stage.

Come From Away Auditions will be held on Thursday, October 1st and Friday, October 2nd at the Bishop Center, follow us on social media for updates and announcements as we get closer to the date!
