PA Student Seeking Clinical Preceptor – Starting January 2026

Hi everyone! My name is Sydni Taylor Collins, and I’m a first-year Physician Assistant student at the University of Pittsburgh with a background in ultrasound. I’m passionate about patient-centered care and excited to continue building my clinical skills through hands-on experience with providers who enjoy teaching and mentoring.

I’m currently looking for clinical preceptors in the following specialties for my upcoming rotations:
• Internal Medicine
• Family Medicine
• Women’s Health
• Pediatric Medicine
• Emergency Medicine
• Surgery
• Behavioral Health
• Dermatology
My first rotation begins in January 2026, but I need to submit site preferences to my school soon so they can begin the onboarding and affiliation process. Each rotation lasts 4 weeks, with a weekly commitment of 28 to 60 hours.

Day 5

Today didn’t go as planned. And I am so grateful that I got to pull away and have a meal with my mom, take her to do a few errands, have a few laughs and essentially spend some much needed time with my favorite girl. While neither one of us are perfect, we have each other, come what may. I get that that’s a privilege, not a guarantee. I’ve lived the reality of not having my mom near. I’ve embraced the fear of loss of my mom… My bonus children have lost their biological mom. I have witnessed people I love struggle to cope with the pain of the loss of their mother. So today I celebrate the gift of my mother in my life. In this season, I get to care for her in ways that she delighted to care for me and my children for countless years. I celebrate you Mommy! I love you with my whole heart! ♥️

When I was 10, my life got flipped upside down. My mom and dad separated. My mom moved to Cali and I was so confused. I didn’t know who to trust. The people who had always been my source of safety and support were now fighting for the same things in their own lives. I get it. NOW. But then… not so much… I was caught in the middle and couldn’t find my TRUE NORTH. What I didn’t know was my “True North” was already seeking me out. There were many in my village that rallied around me to ensure that this pre-teen girl wouldn’t get lost but it was my sister that would ultimately take me to a storefront church called Oneness Pentecostal Tabernacle on Linden Blvd, in Queens, NY, with her High School crew, where I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I still remember the church mothers tarrying over me that night so that I would speak in tongues… I didn’t and wouldn’t for many more years to come. But I Bless God for the prayers of so many who didn’t leave me in my confusion but instead lit a path for me to find my First True Love ♥️🙏🏾🙌🏾 who loved me even before I knew Him.
