Veritas Classical Academy

Veritas Classical Academy is a Christ-centered and classical Christian school located in Grays Harbor. We want to support you in this endeavor.

Veritas Classical Academy was started because we believe that Christian parents have one of the most important jobs in the world; to bring up the next generation in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. We want to partner with you as you seek to raise your children in the Truth. Veritas Classical Academy will educate children in truth. Children will be educated through the lens of God’s Holy Word in all subjects. We believe Jesus when he said “I am the Truth” and “Thy Word is Truth.”

Veritas Classical Academy utilizes classical methodology. As classical educators we apply the use of the trivium to educate children. Classically educated children will study great historical documents and ancient literary masterpieces. They will learn a classical language such as Latin and study music and art along with math, history, science and English. They will be educated in logical thinking and the skill of rhetoric. Veritas Classical Academy will strive to immerse children in truth, in goodness and in beauty that they might desire God and His ways. Our goal for the graduates of Veritas Classical Academy is that they would in all things glorify God, edify the Church and testify of Jesus Christ.

We are excited to announce we have hired our 1st-2nd grade teacher for the upcoming school year, Jessica Friberg!

Jessica comes to Veritas with over 20 years of experience working with children of all ages in public schools, children's ministry, and most recently, over a decade as a youth services librarian where she used her teaching skills to support families with their children's development through STEAM programs, educational spaces, and teaching library workers how to support parents in their child's learning and development.

Jessica was born and raised in Grays Harbor. She was homeschooled K through 12th grade, earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education, and her Master of Arts in Information Resources. She is an artist, teacher, book lover, life-long learner, and committed follower of Jesus.

She believes that every person is special and created in the image of God with unique personality traits, interests, and talents that need to be encouraged, developed, and guided in an engaging and supportive environment.

Jessica is excited to join the Veritas Classical Academy and be part of a school committed to teaching children through a Christ-centered education!

Our K-8th Christian school is located at Grays Harbor Foursquare Church and educates on a 4 day school week(Tuesday-Fridays).

We aim to come alongside parents to help educate and influence their children to love God and others. We are a Christ-centered community where students grow in faith, character, and purpose through intentional instruction and discipleship.
