Let's be honest...

Most kids spend summer sleeping late, scrolling on devices, and forgetting skills they worked hard to learn all school year.

The good news? You don't need hours of worksheets to keep your child on track.

Just 20 minutes a day can make a huge difference.

✅ 5 Minutes Reading
Let them read a book, magazine, comic, or article they're interested in.

✅ 5 Minutes Math Practice
Review math facts, play a quick math game, or solve a few problems.

✅ 5 Minutes Writing
Write about their day, create a story, or make a journal entry.

✅ 5 Minutes Real-Life Learning
Cook, measure ingredients, count money, read directions, or discuss current events.

🎒 10 Things Students Should Do This Summer to Prepare for the Upcoming School Year

The start of the school year will be here before you know it! Here are 10 simple things students can do this summer to start the year strong:

1️⃣ Read for at least 20 minutes each day.

2️⃣ Practice math skills 2–3 times per week.

3️⃣ Review last year's notes, flashcards, or study materials.

4️⃣ Establish a consistent bedtime and morning routine.

5️⃣ Limit excessive screen time and make time for learning.

6️⃣ Write in a journal to strengthen writing skills.

7️⃣ Set 3 academic goals for the upcoming school year.

8️⃣ Organize a dedicated homework and study space.

9️⃣ Learn or practice a life skill such as time management, organization, or responsibility.

🔟 Build confidence by working on areas that were challenging during the previous school year.
