THIS is exactly what the Southeast Alabama STEM Learning Network is all about.

Dream It, Do It Day brought students face-to-face with real careers—from robotics and healthcare to aviation, agriculture, and advanced manufacturing.

They weren’t just walking through booths. They were engaged, asking questions, and seeing what’s possible for their future.

And they showed up ready. Some traveled hours just to be there.

This is what workforce development looks like in Southeast Alabama—students connected to real opportunities, supported by a community that shows up.

There is a real need for more moments like this, and we’re working together to make that happen.

🧠 Meet a neuroscientist from the University of Alabama who graduated from Abbeville High

🧬 Experience hands-on science with HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology Wiregrass

Summer STEM camps in Dothan are now open for middle and high school students 🚀

Summer program registration is now open through HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology Wiregrass at the NEW Wiregrass Innovation Center. This is a chance for students to explore STEM careers, gain hands-on experience, and build real-world skills that connect to their future.

From equipping volunteer fire departments to bringing new STEM kits into our classrooms, WRC&D is proud to partner with local organizations across our 10-county region. Last year alone, we coordinated 105 projects that impacted over 127,000 residents.
