Sparrow Music

Sparrow Music Sparrow Music is a faith-based organization that provides music instruction to children living in the Payatas community of Quezon City, Philippines.

Our program provides free, year-round music instruction taught by teachers currently studying music at one of the most prestigious universities in the country. The curriculum is comprehensive, covering music of various origins and time periods. The types of classes offered include music theory, voice, guitar and keyboard. All prospective students are required to audition for a place in our program

. Once accepted, students enjoy different opportunities to perform, either individually or in ensembles, during Sunday worship services and other special events in the community. The doors of our learning center opened in March 2014 in the Payatas community of Quezon City, Philippines. Since then, we have had the privilege of ministering to our first class of 38 underprivileged urban children from surrounding communities. We plan not only to accept more students into our program in coming seasons, but to expand to other communities in the Philippines. Some of our students are already spreading heir musical wings, as they serve their local church worship teams. Students' spiritual growth is nurtured through performance of Christian music, Bible studies, devotions, and character building. Our students also receive medical and dental check ups and standard vaccinations at the learning center. Sparrow Music also provides daily meals and snacks for the kids during their rehearsals and practices.

Lesson for today:

Truth, Honesty, and Forgiveness
As scholars, your education is not only about getting good grades. It is also about becoming people of character—people who can be trusted.

Truth means choosing what is right even when nobody is watching.
Honesty means admitting our mistakes instead of hiding them.
And forgiveness means understanding that we all make mistakes, but our mistakes do not have to define who we become.

Sometimes, we are afraid to tell the truth because we fear punishment, disappointment, or embarrassment. But remember: a mistake honestly admitted can be corrected; a lie only makes the problem bigger.

When someone hurts you, learn to forgive. Forgiveness does not mean saying that what happened was right. It means choosing not to be controlled by anger and resentment. And when you are the one who made a mistake, have the courage to say, “I was wrong. I am sorry. Please forgive me.”

As followers of Christ, we are reminded:

“Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” — James 5:16

God does not expect us to be perfect. He calls us to be truthful, humble, teachable, and willing to change.

To all our scholars: Your scholarship may open doors for your future, but your character will determine how you walk through those doors.

Choose truth.
Live with honesty.
Give forgiveness.
Ask for forgiveness.
And always remember that God's grace gives us the courage to begin again.

Love on the Move. Mercy in Every Mile. ❤️

We thank God for the successful dedication of our Mercy Bus to the Lord, officiated by Rev. Dr. Lem Marasigan, together with our brothers and sisters from Fairview Christian Fellowship.

This Mercy Bus is more than a vehicle, it is a ministry on wheels, bringing Christ's love through medical care, compassion, and service to communities across the country. The mercy bus is dedicated to reach our M neighbors in Fairview, Montalban, and Culiat in the coming weeks and months.

Please join us in praying for this ministry. Lift up the Mercy Bus, our volunteers, medical teams, partner churches, and every community we will serve. Pray for safe travels, good health, God's provision especially with donors and that many lives will experience the love and hope found in Jesus Christ.
Allso, that we find a good partner for the small storage of our precious medicines, vitamins and supplies. We extend our help to those who are in need of medicines from churches and communities with the supervision of our volunteer doctors beyond our medical missions. We find a place where people in crisis is treated with grace & with dignity with love of Christ. Thank God!

Love on the Move. Mercy in Every Mile.
May God use this ministry for His glory!

Honesty is Rewarding: A Lesson from the Truth and Honesty Module

The Truth and Honesty module teaches us that honesty is one of the most important values a person can have. Being honest means telling the truth, keeping our promises, admitting our mistakes, and doing what is right even when no one is watching.

This is a very important lesson for young scholars because honesty builds trust, respect, and good character. In school, honesty means not cheating on exams, doing our own work, and being truthful with our teachers, classmates, and parents. Honest students earn the confidence of others and become responsible individuals.

Honesty also prepares us for the future. Employers, communities, and families value people who can be trusted. Intelligence and talent are important, but integrity is what sustains success. A person who is honest gains a good reputation that cannot be bought.

As scholars, we should remember that our scholarship is not only an opportunity to receive an education but also a responsibility to develop good character. By practicing truth and honesty every day, we become role models in our homes, schools, and communities.

In the end, honesty is always rewarding. It gives us peace of mind, strengthens our relationships, and honors God. As Proverbs 12:22 reminds us, "The Lord detests lying lips, but He delights in people who are trustworthy." Let us choose honesty in every decision we make and become people of integrity who make a positive difference in the world.

Prevention Starts with Connection

Kumusta sila?

Prevention starts with connection. Kapag kilala natin ang puso ng ating mga anak, mas maaga nating nakikita ang mga warning signs, red flags at mas maaga tayong makakatulong.

I hope it helps.
