Congratulations to our boys upon being crowned Kigezi Regional Secondary Schools football champions. The boys now qualify for the national tournament to be played in Masaka. We want to thank the OBs who traveled from many parts of the country to Rukiga to offer morale support to the boys. On a special note, we want thank school management, the technical team for the great work.

Good morning dear members.

Yesterday
Yesterday a team comprising of
Chairperson BOG
Chairperson MOSA
Chairperson PTA
Head teacher
Vice Chairperson MOSA
Deputy Headteacher

Met and had a meaningful discussion with the New Bishop on issues of Makobore Highschool.
He was briefed by the Head master on the current status and the on going efforts to revive the school.

Our key request to him was that as head of the diocese the foundation body we needed his leadership to take lead in all efforts to revive the school.
He welcomed us very well and expressed readiness in spearheading the efforts to revive the school as he stated it in his priorities during the concecretion.

After a discussion that lasted two hours
We agreed on the following
1. Makobore Highschool must rebuild confidence in the eyes and minds of stake holders.
2. To build confidence you must have selling points and assurences
3. That the best selling points are academic excellence and discipline.
4.building Discipline and achieving Academic excellence require Competent administration and committed staff .
Therefore
We must first focus on having a well motivated and committed staff who are pivotal to discipline and academic excellence.

Action points

The Bishop will have an inception meeting with the MOSA executive and other invited OBs on 14 th April 2023 in Kampala to have deeper discussion and lay down roadmap.

On 4th June 2023 we shall have a dinner as all OBs with the following objectives
To welcome the Bishop,
Adoption of strategic plan for the recovery of Makobore,
And start aggressive resource mobilisation to fund the plan.
