Meet Angel Wanyama, TNL Support Lead.

Angel Wanyama is a Communications and Digital marketing professional with a deep passion for social impact, gender equity, and technology empowerment. With over 7+ years of experience, she has become a recognized voice in advancing women and girls in tech across East Africa.

At Women In Technology Uganda (WITU), Angel serves as the Impact & Communications Lead, where she harnesses the power of storytelling, media relations, and digital platforms to amplify the voices of women in technology..

Driven by her continued commitment to bridging the gender digital divide, Angel Co-founded Tech4Her – Uganda, an NGO dedicated to boosting digital literacy and nurturing tech-savvy, confident women in Uganda’s marginalized communities and among girls from financially challenged backgrounds.

Her professional journey includes key leadership roles such as Senior Operations Support Officer at Tugende, Program Director at Mind Watch, and Communications Lead at both WITU and the Tanzania Ocean Climate Innovation Hub. Through these roles, she has built a strong reputation for impact, innovation, and advocacy.

Internationally recognized by partners like the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung-German, Angel continues to build global partnerships that drive digital empowerment and advocacy.

At The Njasi League, Angel is our Support Lead, driving excellence in Media, Graphics, and Administration. Her creativity and passion have shaped our visual identity—from striking posters and flyers to memorable jerseys and branding. She’s also been a key force in mobilizing support and growing our visibility.

Meet Clara Chebet – TNL Member (Kenyan Chapter)

Clara Chebet is a passionate artist and dedicated philanthropist whose creativity knows no bounds. A proud member of The Njasi League's Kenyan Chapter, Clara is best known for her experimental approach to visual art, working across various mediums including charcoal pencils (her all-time favorite), oil paints, and acrylics on recycled papyrus, banana fiber, and bamboo papers.

Her preferred medium—charcoal on recycled paper, especially papyrus and banana fiber—allows her to merge sustainability with striking artistic expression.

Clara's work has been featured in several prestigious group exhibitions, including Kesho Afrika at the Kenya Cultural Centre – Cheche Gallery (2023), Vision and Possibilities: Contemporary Kenyan Art at Bermondsey Project Space in London (2023), the 17th Affordable Art Show (2024), and Eldoret State of Mind at Alliance Française Eldoret.

Her love for art was born in the art room of Manjasi High School, where she drew early inspiration from her peers and art teacher. She remains one of the few Kenyan artists who has journeyed over 600km to attend The Njasi League events—testament to her deep sense of community and commitment.

With every piece she creates, Clara channels her big-hearted spirit, using her art as a bridge to give back and inspire change.

Meet Pr. Solomon Micklish Makanga Micklish King Solomon – TNL Tactical Lead

Pr. Solomon Micklish Makanga is a multifaceted leader whose journey from the soccer field to the pulpit and community development spaces is nothing short of inspiring. A highly skilled midfielder, his football career began long before his days at Manjasi High School and blossomed into a professional trajectory that saw him don the national colors for Uganda's U15 and later the senior national team.

After retiring from competitive play, he gracefully transitioned into coaching, nurturing young talent and imparting his wealth of experience to youth-level teams. Today, he continues to shape the future of football as a coach and manager at Kampala Galaxy Soccer Academy-KGSA , guiding U10 dream players with passion and tactical acumen.

Beyond the sidelines, Pr. Makanga is a revered pastor at Blessed Centre for Deliverance Churches - Uganda. Through his impactful sermons, he has transformed countless lives, focusing on themes such as marriage, social life, and lifestyle habits. His voice resonates deeply both in church and on the soccer field.

He holds a CAF C coaching license and is also certified in FAMACO I Management, underscoring his commitment to professional excellence in sports leadership.

Within The Njasi League (TNL), Pr. Makanga is a devoted and vocal member. He serves as the tactical lead of the Kambo Giants, a dominant force in the league, respected for their strategic gameplay and competitive spirit.

In addition to his pastoral and sporting roles, he is a committed social worker — a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention Officer advocating for dignity, safety, and equality within communities.

Pr. Makanga embodies servant leadership, purpose, and resilience. Whether he's guiding young players, delivering transformative sermons, or championing social causes, he remains a beacon of inspiration and a true pillar of The Njasi League community.

Meet Omaidi Edison, aka Ramos Omaidi Edison – TNL Influencer & Publicity Coordinator (Eastern Region)

Ramos, is a passionate & outspoken member of TNL, widely admired for his steadfast commitment to the League’s growth and visibility. As the Publicity Coordinator for the Eastern Region, Ramos plays a central role in amplifying TNL’s vision, activities and championing the League’s brand in the region.

HIs fearless & principled stance has earned him the moniker Kasuku — “he who fearlessly re-echoes what is whispered by many in the corridors.” Though sometimes controversial, his voice and relentless pursuit for transparency has become a trusted echo of truth for many.

Professionally, Ramos is a seasoned businessman in agricultural produce in Tororo. He also serves as Chief Credit Manager at Omini Microfinance – Tororo, where he oversees credit operations, ensures financial compliance & drives responsible lending practices.

His impact has been especially felt through TNL’s flagship Hygiene & Sanitation Improvement Project at Manjasi High School between 2023 & 2024. In this role, Ramos:

• Supervised procurement of construction materials, ensuring quality and value for money.
• Monitored project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
• Enforced strict budget adherence, preventing wastage and misuse of funds.

Through his diligent supervision, the project was executed transparently, efficiently and to high standards — solidifying his place as a trusted custodian of TNL’s mission and values.

In Ramos, we celebrate not just a voice, but a steward of our values and a true pillar of the TNL movement.

Meet Pius Musungu Musungu Pie — Secretary, The Njasi League (TNL)

Pius Musungu is a distinguished educator with 9+ years of experience shaping young minds across various schools in Uganda. A specialist in English and Literature, his passion for language has not only earned him recognition in the classroom but also inspired the establishment of a thriving Debate Club at Luigi Giussani Schools.

Pius’s influence extends far beyond academics. A trailblazer in the sport of Kabaddi in Uganda, he proudly represented the nation on the international stage, including a competitive stint in India with Dumdak Del. His efforts have been instrumental in popularizing and institutionalizing the sport by contributing significantly to the formation of the sport’s national association.

His athletic journey began at Manjasi High School, where his love for basketball was nurtured. He continues to give back to the sport through coaching roles at Luigi Giussani Schools.

Currently, he also serves as the Head of Department for Literature and Languages at Namungoona Parents Secondary School, a role that reflects his dedication to both education and leadership.

A proud alumnus of Manjasi High School (Class of 2013), Pius captains the Ringo Warriors in The Njasi League and is a driving force behind the Class of 2013’s resource mobilization initiatives. His contributions to education have extended into volunteer roles as a visiting facilitator on various Education Committee visits organized by the Manjasi Old Students Association (MOSA).

Thanks to his enduring passion, he continues to exemplify the spirit of service, sportsmanship, and scholarship. As Secretary of The Njasi League, he brings unmatched dedication, vision, and integrity to every initiative — a role he continues to fulfill with excellence and integrity.
